Glasgow Tool Library (GTL) are hosting a FREE day of designing and making at The Glue Factory.

BUILD
10.00 -18.00

Need a new bedside table, writing desk, coffee table, or want to just spend a day learning how to use new tools?

To experience the full day as a ‘Builder’ reserve your tickets here:

https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/our-house-your-house-tickets-33406763529

By reserving a ticket as a ‘Builder’ you will be able to take part in a days activity to design and build household structures using recycled materials. With help from skilled GTL facilitators you will be taken through the process of constructing your ideas.

Groups will be split across four themes: Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, and Bedroom. At the end of the day, every piece of furniture will be arranged together to create a collaborative ‘house’ as a temporary installation for members of the public to experience over the rest of the weekend.

Whatever you make you can take home with you after the weekends events. All materials and tools will be provided. All you need to bring are your ideas!

Those not taking part in the making on Sunday are invited pop in during the day and see what’s going on. We are interested to hear your ideas about what a tool library could be and we welcome anyone, if they are able, to donate any tools that they no longer need to the GTL.

LAUNCH / OPENING – FOOD, DRINK, MUSIC
18.00 – 22.00

From 18.00 onwards we will showcase the day’s work made by the ‘Builders’.

Members of the public that have not reserved a ticket will be able to join us to see the work made during the day and ask any questions about the tool library. It will be a celebration of the day’s work with food, drinks and music. BYOB welcome!
